Some meeting night themes:
ARCS & SPARKS:
Electrostatics, Magnets and magnetic fields, making electric current,
electric motors, Cells and Batteries what's inside, make a lemon battery.
SECRET AGENT:
Codes, and Morse codes, Semaphore game, decrypting secret messages with a code
generator wheel, puzzles, signalling and "who done it".
LIGHT & SMOKE:
Flashing coloured lights, mixing coloured lights, polarized light shows stress in
plastic objects, optical illusions, unbend a distorted picture with a cylindrical
mirror, catch the ball under strobe light, sound gun makes giant smoke rings and
blows out a candle at 20 paces.
SOLAR HEAT:
Build a solar cooker and bake your lunch, solar water still makes fresh water out
of foul, solar steam engine, use solar cells to run an amplifier, talk over a sun
beam, make your own hike metho burner out of a drink can.
BLAST OFF:
Water rockets are fun on a hot day, or even higher with discburst compressed
air rocket, measure how high they go.
